Criminal & Traffic The area of criminal defense is a complicated and serious area of law. People accused of crimes and victims of crimes have many rights and obligations connected with criminal investigations and trials. Those accused of crimes and victims are often not notified of their rights in a meaningful and timely manner. Without the assistance of experienced counsel, it is difficult to exercise these rights and defend against prosecution by the State or Government. It is helpful, for victims of crimes and people accused of crimes, to retain counsel as early in the process as possible in order to understand their obligations and to appropriately exercise their Constitutional rights. Employment Litigation These cases may be based on state and federal statutes and regulations, common law causes of action and contractual principles. These matters include cases claiming discrimination on account of race, sex, religion, age, national origin and disability under state and federal law. They also include cases relating to sexual and racial harassment, wrongful discharge, wage and hour issues, retaliatory discharge claims, workplace privacy claims, FMLA charges, OSHA charges and workers compensation claims. |
